Admin - Croatia is a land of a thousand islands, a few different regions, with a tremendous and complicated history as well as plenty of tourist attractions and landmarks that will leave you speechless and happy. We have the Adriatic coast, many amazing cities of even more fantastic culture, and with continental tourism on the rise, it's hard to dissect what are the best tourist locations in the country. That's why we decided to give it a go and select our Top 10 places in Croatia, but with geography on our mind, we made sure we show you the best locations from every corner of our homeland.
Admin - This is not the beginning of a Survivor’s song replica. This is me, sharing this adorable Croatian delight with you, and inviting you to visit it and experience a whole new different dimension. This project is quite recent, and it involves the setting of several amazing point of views along the District of Vinodol as well as the Town of Novi Vinodolski. More precisely, there are 6 stunning belvedere points, with one being more magnificent from the other. No exaggeration here.
Admin - If you know Croatia at least a bit, the association from the title has certainly rang a bell: it is Istria that I am talking about. After exiting the famous tunnel of Učka, you may feel as arriving into a different dimension. Istria is Croatia’s largest peninsula, and it features hundreds of kilometers of spectacular coast all around. But not only. If you dare to leave the beach area for a while, you may actually get to really know Istria and what it presents. From hilltops with high-quality wineries to ancient towns which are still to be fully discovered, central Istria is definitely hiding so much undiscovered potential.
Admin - Pandemic times have brought to so many unfortunate events and tragedies, but I believe that if we can really deeply think about it for a while, we could conclude that we have managed to learn some vitally important things. One of them is certainly appreciating more our own families and close friends, but also that we should sometimes stop with our super-busy lives and simply re-connect. Deadlines and large projects can be very motivating and lead to financial accomplishments, but what about our minds and nerves? They too require motivation, and they too require resting. And what better way is there to obtain such things other than blending in with nature for a while?
Admin - As you may have already noticed until now, Croatia is not just sun and sea. Croatia is also dense forests with the most different flora and fauna one could ever imagine. Croatia is also uninhabited mountains with spectacular views from above. Croatia is also mesmerizing national parks with dreamy lakes and streams. I love Croatia, and one the best ways to fully explore it is by doing it on foot. Whether you are a fan of adventurous hikes or peaceful walks, you will find something to suit your soul here.
Admin - The largest Croatian island, due to its beauty, in ancient times was called the golden island, will not leave anyone who decides to visit it indifferently. The mild Mediterranean climate, the azure Adriatic Sea, and the impressive historical and cultural heritage are making Krk one of the most beautiful Croatian islands.
Admin - Kvarner Bay-Croatia might be the best place you might want to visit for a holiday experience in Croatia but it is worth a try. It has some of the best and interesting places that once you visit will give you a lifetime experience. Apart from the places, there are foods, beaches and so much more. The only way you can experience this is by visiting the place and seeing for yourself.
Admin - If you want to have the best beach experience of a lifetime, then there is one place in Croatia that will guarantee you that. Kvarner Bay-Croatia, located in the Adriatic Sea in its northern part, has been a significant holiday destination not only for its beach experience but also because of its mild climate and other features such as the beautiful mountains and the cobalt blue waters In this article, we highlight why you should visit Kvarner Bay, looking at what you can do once you are there and how you can survive.
Admin - 'If you have ever heard of Croatia, you are probably already aware of the fact that this country has spectacular natural beauties all over its surface, and beyond. But Croatia is not just beauty. It is also a truly rich and special history, even if we take in consideration its relatively young age as an independent republic. And some of such cool historical facts are actually closely intricated to certain families. Or, more precisely, dynasties. The noble family of the Frankopans is one of those who managed to leave the strongest impact on Croatia, from the development of arts to the common direction in which the kingdom headed. Therefore, they certainly deserve a dedicated article. Let me introduce you to the great Frankopans!
Admin - Rovinj has won the precious award for the Croatian Destination of the Year for the second time in a row. This picturesque small town with just 14 thousand inhabitants certainly offers a truly romantic setting among its cobblestone labyrinth of streets, and it really does have a rich history. But is it really worth the hype? Well, I decided to head to this hidden gem and find it out on my own.
Admin - These unprecedented pandemic times have literally changed our planet around. From overcrowded beach festivals to collective hugs at weddings, such memories remind us now of some better times that we cannot wait to get back to. And after a year and a half in lockdowns and prohibition restrictions, the least we can do to get a feel of the old times is to travel. Luckily, some countries are already welcoming guests and one of them is Croatia. Can you think of any better place to recover other than a beautiful coast with crystal clear sea and a green magical inland? Me neither.
Admin - Dubrovnik is a city clinging to a rock, encased by a girdle of enormous stone ramparts, surrounded by a turquoise sea with more than a thousand-year-old history. Dubrovnik feels like a place where history and magic come together, a place you will never forget. Of course, there are many amazing coastal cities in Croatia - the land of one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world, but even there Dubrovnik is something special.
Admin - Zadar, the fifth largest Croatian city, lies on the shores of the Adriatic. Its rich cultural heritage adds another dimension to a relaxing seaside holiday. The flourishing of tourism in Croatia this summer has also reached Zadar, the former capital of Dalmatia. The city is a living testimony of the many cultures which have flourished here along the centuries, beginning with the Romans, its first conquerors, up to the current Croatian inhabitants.
Admin - Kvarner is the region where Croatian culture was born. However, this is also one of my favorite places to completely unwind and reconnect. You know, one of those experiences which we all thrive towards during these unprecedented pandemic days. Whether you are a passionate hiker or simply love wandering around mesmerizing nature, Kvarner will have something suitable to offer. So, grab your most comfy shoes and start planning your trip today.
Admin - Velebit requires no special introduction, as this is the most massive mountain within Croatia. What makes Velebit extra special is the dense area that it occupies, ranging all the way from the coast towards the inland. On top of that, it provides spectacular natural sceneries as well as a home to the most diverse flora and fauna one could ever think of. To me, Velebit presents an endless source of hiking trails, adventurous daily trips as well as a wild escape away from the city. And it really does deserve a wholly dedicated article and a special place in the hearts of those who decide to actually visit the place.
Admin - Croatia is a Balkan country located on the Adriatic Sea at the crossroads of Central and Southeast Europe. Zagreb is Croatia's capital and largest city. Croatian is their official language.
Admin - Lika is the Croatian synonym for natural beauty. This sometimes-forgotten region provides home to multiple national parks, including some of the most beautiful around the entire European region. What makes the region special is its crucial position. Indeed, when visiting Lika, you may find yourself either by the sea, on an island, inside deep forests, or on the top of a mountain. A fairly large part of the mountain massif Velebit goes through Lika, as well as one of the most important border crossings. And here, you can find almost anything that you would ever wish for.
